Cell Phone

Have you ever sent a text msg while driving?

Slow driving in the left lane (on expressway): most days this is an annoyance.  My route to and from work takes me on 385 & I240 in Memphis. I can deal with congestion/bottlenecks in rush hour, what bothers me is when for no reason the car in front of me (in the left lane) slows down by 10 - 20 mph.  I have been keeping mental notes, at least 3 times a week, when this happens when move to pass the driver by moving to the middle lane they are busy sending text messages or fumbling for a phone number.  I may take it for granted, but my cell is about 2 yrs old and it has speed dial, voice dialing and a headset.
Most days I would rater have to drive next to someone who spent the day in a bar... at least a drunk will know they are drunk and not just oblivious to there surroundings.  Some states have taken the initiative to pass laws and enforce use of hands free calling while driving.  Unfortunately (if I smoked) in TN, I could smoke do it in a gas station, I do not think the laws will change here anytime soon.

don't even own a cell, and when i get one, it won't have texting.  won't get into that!!!

i remember memphis well -- the very FIRST time i ever saw a left turn from the right lane!  55mph, my van screeching to a halt to keep from giving this li'l thing a bowtie enema, my gear in the back on the van suddenly underfoot...priceless.

CELL PHONES ARE FOR SISSYS, YOU ARE BETTER OF TALKING TO YOURSELF; WHICH IS VERY COMMON THESE DAYS. GROW UP WE ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT AS WE THINK. I SAW SOMEONE DRIVING A 1983 CHEVETTE MISSING BUMPER NO TAG,NICE CELLPHONE DIRTY DIAPER.

Sorry, I'm a cell phone user in the left lane, however I go 25 mph over the speed limit, so I shouldn't be in your way, and believe it or not, some people can multi task and still drive just as good, if not better than most of the people out there! And if the highway is congested, I will move over for the people who wanna do 30+ over the limit.....but if there is plenty of room on the highway, whats so hard about going around?
