Cleveland - Downtown Restaurant

Dinner [at a nice restaurant] resulted in nearly $1000 in damage to my car (inflicted by the valet). Owner agreed to pay and said the check is in the mail - I've been waiting two months. The guy is a liar and a cheater. Don't give this crook your money!
I attended a company dinner at the "posh" Cleveland restaurant. I used the valet to park the car (something I rarely do) and when the car was returned it had a piece of concrete on it - yes concrete. Apparently, while parked in the garage a piece of concrete fell from the structure and landed on the roof of my car. In the dark of night I could not the damage. However, looking at it more clearly in the light the next morning I noticed 5 dents in the roof and on the trunk lid. An estimate to repair dents and repaint came it at $900.
I called with this information - I spoke with the manager - he said send the estimate and we will review and pay. That was back in February 2007. It is now mid-May 2007 and I can't get these liars and cheats to pay up. The owner keeps saying the check is in the mail. In speaking with a friend that is an attorney he said they've had similar situations in the past. The liar owner refuses to pay and winds up going to court. Last time it cost him approximately $25K. Do not give your dinning dollars to this company. The food and service was highly mediocre - dinner was cold and fillet was under cooked.
